Dear convert-me.com forum visitors,

Our forum has been available for many years. In September 2014 we decided to switch it to read-only mode. Month after month we saw less posts with questions and answers from real people and more spam posts. You'll need to know the molecular value of the item you're trying to convert.

How to convert mg/dl to mmol/L

What is the value of 200 mg/dl in mmol/L.

convert mmol/l to mg/dl

Thu Aug 24, 2006 9:09 pm

multiply by 18
for example:
If somebody's blood glucose is 5.0 mmol/L
then 5.0*18= 90 mg/dl

For GLUCOSE, 1 mmol/L = 18 mg/dL, but two conversions are being mixed together:

*Glucose has a molecular weight of 180 or molar mass of 180 g/mol. This has to be calculated for each compound.
*10 dL = 1 L

So 1mmol/L of glucose = 180 mg/L = 18 mg/dL

Ivan.
mmol/l = mg/100ml x 10/ molecular mass
mmol/l = 200 x 10 / mm ( )

IT DEPENDS ON THE SUBSTANCES MOLECULAR WEIGHT... HOWEVER USE THESE CONVERSION FACTOR FOR GLUCOSE.. 18 .. MMMOL\L TO MG\DL

1% HbA1C = 1.9 mmol/L = 35 mg/dL

I hope this piece of information is usefull to everyone here
Thanks
Good Luck

To convert mmol/l of glucose to mg/dl, multiply by 18.

To convert mg/dl of glucose to mmol/l, divide by 18 or multiply by 0.055

Thanks
