Our forum has been available for many years. In September 2014 we decided to switch it to read-only mode. Month after month we saw less posts with questions and answers from real people and more spam posts. We were spending more and more resources cleaning the spam until there were less them 1 legitimate message per 100 spam posts. Then we decided it's time to stop.

Having a major rectal cranial inversion and can't figure this out although it should be very simple?
I know the volume and length of a cylinder, how do I figure out the radius of that cylinder. Length of cylinder is 1.3 miles and volume is 3800 cubic feet. Thank you for your help.

First of all, 1.3 miles = 6 864 feet. Now, we must do a little algebra. We shall solve the volume of a cylinder for radius.
V=πr²h
V/πh=r²
r=sqrt(V/πh).
V=3800 ft³
π=3.14159265
h=6864 ft
sqrt(V/πh)=0.41978626476509673741162227011684 ft
Therefore, the radius is approx. 0.42 ft, or 5.0 inches.
