Our forum has been available for many years. In September 2014 we decided to switch it to read-only mode. Month after month we saw less posts with questions and answers from real people and more spam posts. I am having some difficulty in converting a solid model- Injected parts volume-mass to the amount of plastic cubic centimeters used.
Here is a sample
PBT Polybutylene-teraphthalate
Specific Gravity 1.34
weight in lbs per Cu foot 83.7
weight in lbs per Cu Yard 2258.6
weight Kgs per Cu meter 1340
I know my molded plastic peice will occupy:
volume area of 4.988 in.3
Mass of 49.882 Kg
surface area 5.7024 in.2
What I would like to know based of the info i have from my pocket reference is how much cubic centimeters will be used so i can correctly know my Price of material.

volume area of 4.988 in.3
4.988 in3 x 16.3871 = 81.738 cm3
81.738cm3 x 1.34 specific gravity = 109.53
109.53 x 110% = 230.01 Grams
230 Grams / 28 = 8.214 Oz
