Our forum has been available for many years. In September 2014 we decided to switch it to read-only mode. How do I figure a tonage of rip rap on a slope? I think is is pretty simple, but don't know exactly. Can you help?

To keep from writing a book, additional information would be helpful.
Are you asking for the weight of rip rap per cubic yard? If so, what size and kind of rock? How to calculate the length or area of a slope? Do you have the degree of slope? Any distances?
