Dear convert-me.com forum visitors,
Our forum has been available for many years. In September 2014 we decided to switch it to read-only mode. Month after month we saw less posts with questions and answers from real people and more spam posts. We were spending more and more resources cleaning the spam until there were less them 1 legitimate message per 100 spam posts. Then we decided it's time to stop.

I am in the midde of perchasing several lengths of 9x3 timber 4.8meters long how do i work out the weight of each one

Well the answer to your question is going to depend on the lumber you purchase. You give the type as 9x3 but you don't mention what kind
offshore merchant account of lumber (oak, cherry, etc) which all have different weights. So based on what you are saying the only thing I can say is to put one board on a scale and multiply its weight by how many you are purchasing.
