Our forum has been available for many years. In September 2014 we decided to switch it to read-only mode. The volume of Earth is 1,083,206,246,123,080,894,852 m3, or around 1.0832×1021 m3, in scientific notation.
Calculation
Earth is an oblate spheroid, resembling a sphere flattened at the poles.
The volume of an oblate spheroid is
V = \frac{4}{3}\pi a^2 b
where π is the mathematical constant pi, and a and b are the equatorial and polar radii.
Substituting a = 6,378,135 m and b = 6,356,750 m, we get the above Earth volume.
