Our forum has been available for many years. In September 2014 we decided to switch it to read-only mode. Month after month we saw less posts with questions and answers from real people and more spam posts. We were spending more and more resources cleaning the spam until there were less them 1 legitimate message per 100 spam posts. Then we decided it's time to stop.

I am working on some experiments that require to know the area of my artificial flowers. I have round flowers (I can calculate that) but also 'lobed' ones. How could I calculate this regular but complex areas?

It would require that you share the approximate shape of the lobes. I'm thinking you might be able to approximate them as an eliopse, in which case you could use:
Area = Pi * A * B
Where you have a semi-major axis of length A and semi-minor axis of length B.
