Dear convert-me.com forum visitors,
Our forum has been available for many years. In September 2014 we decided to switch it to read-only mode. Month after month we saw less posts with questions and answers from real people and more spam posts. We were spending more and more resources cleaning the spam until there were less them 1 legitimate message per 100 spam posts. Then we decided it's time to stop.
All the posts in the forum will be available and searchable. We understand there are a lot of useful information and we aren't going to remove anything. As for the new questions, you can always ask them on

I own land that is almost a square. It is 1613 on one side, 2016 on the other, 1430 on the front and 1385 on the back. Can you please tell me how many acres this is? The measurement is in feet.

An acre is a square that measures 208.7ft on all sides.
Your property as given is a quadrilateral, meaning it doesn't conform to the rules of a square, rectangle, trapezoid, rhombus, or parallelogram. Because the shapes mentioned have specific properties, the area formulas are the same for all cases.
But because a quadrilateral can be anything else, there isn't a general formula.
If you could give just one more bit of information, such as the length of a diagonal, or the angle where one or more of the sides meet, the calculation can be completed!
