Dear convert-me.com forum visitors,
Our forum has been available for many years. In September 2014 we decided to switch it to read-only mode. Month after month we saw less posts with questions and answers from real people and more spam posts. We were spending more and more resources cleaning the spam until there were less them 1 legitimate message per 100 spam posts. Then we decided it's time to stop.
All the posts in the forum will be available and searchable. We understand there are a lot of useful information and we aren't going to remove anything. As for the new questions, you can always ask them on

how do i convert square yards to linear feet?
For example, if I have 1,600 square yards, how many linear feet is that?

There are 9 sq ft per sq yd, so that is 14400 sq ft.
If a perfect square, that would be 120' on a side, but it could just as easily be a rectangle 144' x 100' or even 1440' x 10' or any other combination that multiples to 14400.

It wouldn't make any difference what the dimensions of a given side are or even what the shape is (rectangle, pentagon, whatever). As you measure the perimeter of the object around all sides, it's still going to be the same number of linear feet all the way around.
