Our forum has been available for many years. In September 2014 we decided to switch it to read-only mode. cooking conversion?

Hi,

I'm trying to fix a recipe that calls for 5/8 cup of wheat germ. I've never seen this measurement and am terrible in math! Could someone tell me how to figure out how much 5/8 of a cup is?

It is 5 fluid ounces. If you have a one cup measuring cup, it should be marked 1 to 8, whether or not they are labelled fluid ounces.

It is also 10 Tablespoons, which might be a convenient way to measure wheat germ.
