2 depends on how the lumber is laid.
If it was laid 3" side up (horizontal), the ft
2 of each 6 ft piece would be: (3"/12")*6 ft = 1.5 ft

If it was laid 2" side up (horizontal), the ft
2 of each 6 ft piece would be: (2"/12")*6 ft = 1.0 ft

If a floor was 13 ft x 10 ft and the lumber was laid with the 3" side up (horizontal): 130 ft
2 / 1.5 ft
3 = 87 (86.67) pieces of 2" x 3" lumber 6 ft long. No scrap is assumed.
