Our forum has been available for many years. In September 2014 we decided to switch it to read-only mode. math conversion can't figure this on out

Albert bought 14 gallons of gas that is sold for 108.5 cents per liter. How much did he spend on gas?

First, convert gallons to liters, then multiply by cost/liter ($1.085)

There is 3.7854 liters in 1 gallon

Using Dirtman's reply, take: $1.085 per liter x 3.8754 liters per gallon = $4.1072 cost per gallon

$4.1072 per gallon x 14 gallons - or about $57.50 cost for 14 gallons.

Here in Salem, Oregon, USA I just gassed up with Regular gas @ $2.939 per gallon on Friday.
