Dear convert-me.com forum visitors,
Our forum has been available for many years. In September 2014 we decided to switch it to read-only mode. Month after month we saw less posts with questions and answers from real people and more spam posts. We were spending more and more resources cleaning the spam until there were less them 1 legitimate message per 100 spam posts. Then we decided it's time to stop.
All the posts in the forum will be available and searchable. We understand there are a lot of useful information and we aren't going to remove anything. As for the new questions, you can always ask them on

Hi, I am wondering if someone can help me convert 4.37kW/24 hours into a power rating? If I take 4.37/24 = 0.182kW/hr, will this be considered power rating? If I have an equipmenta that says energy consumption is 0.8kW, does that mean that it consumes 0.8kW of power every hour? Many thanks!

I think there may be some confusion between power, measured in kilowatts, and energy measured in kilowatt-hours. If something has a power rating of 0.8 kW, then it uses 0.8 kWh in an hour, 19.2 kWh in a day, and 134.4 kWh in a week, assuming it runs 24/7.
